At 5:30am of May 10, 2016 , day after election, CNN Philippines and GMA Network release an erroneous results of the partial unofficial tally for Vice Presidency particularly on Chiz Escudero on their social media page.
Netizens that are closely watching the results rant about the issue which accussing the administration that they are making their move already after failing to beat Duterte in Presidency. They are also noting that this is the Plan B to make Robredo the winner for the VP then impeach Duterte afterwards so that the Liberal Party will gain the highest position again making Robredo the next president.
Late in the afternoon, both network release a statement apologizing for their mistakes.
