Monday, May 9, 2016

After controversial photos of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo holding ballotscirculated online that received widespread criticisms from netizens, reports surfaced that another ABS-CBN talent and teen beauty, Julia Barreto allegedly rejects 5 million pesos from LP camp, to endorse presidential candidate Mar Roxas.
According to a source closed to the actress’ manager, LP initially offered Barreo 2 million pesos as early as March 2015. The source said the actress rejected the money. Roxas’ camp allegedly added 3 million to make it 5 million, but the actress still rejected the offer and said “I will remain non-partisan regardless of the amount”.
It was later revealed that the teen beauty and his mother, actress Marjorie Barreto supported Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
The mother and daughter were seen attending the “miting de avance” of Duterte on Saturday.

The source said the Barretos did not openly endorse the mayor, but confirmed that they supported the Davao strongman.
Julia, a member of popular Barreto clan, has been living under the media radar ever since she entered showbiz business.
The actress gained praise from Duterte supporters for her decision not to accept Roxas’ money, which believed to be a part of Yolanda funds.
Kathryn Bernardo, on the other hand, allegedly received at least 10 million from Roxas – the move that resulted for her expulsion from Iglesia Ni cristo. /Nico Bawa/
