Incoming president Rodrigo Duterte said that after he assumes office on June 30 he will order the re-assignment of officials and staff of various government agencies .
“There will be a massive re-shuffle, so I am putting a notice down for everybody,” he said.
Duterte particularly mentioned the Philippine National Police, the National Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Corrections as among those to be re-shuffled.
The BuCor has been under fire after numerous raids on prison cells at the NBP yielded guns, illegal drugs, mobile phones, appliances among other things prohibited under prison management rules.
“Sa Muntinlupa, magbalot na kayo,” he said as he referred to the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.
Duterte said those assigned at the Iwahig Penal Colony in Palawan may be transferred to prison facility in Metro Manila.
Bilibid and Iwahig are penal colonies administered by the Bureau of Corrections, an agency under the Department of Justice.
“I am not threatening you, but I will do it,” said Duterte, saying he will consult with Chief Supt. Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa, his choice to head the PNP.
